I'm Michael Boutin, and I’m am your State Representative for Barre City. I bring years of experience, a deep commitment to our community, and a strong belief that Montpelier needs more moderate, common-sense voices who put Barre first—not special interests.

I’ve proudly served on the Barre City Council for 14 years and have served three years on the Barre Unified Union School District Board, two of which were as board chair. I’ve worked hard to deliver results—whether it’s supporting major city improvements, promoting transparency in our schools, or helping our community come together during tough times.

Barre has always been home. My family has lived in Barre City for generations. I’m a Spaulding High graduate, a former Cub and Boy Scout, and I’ve never stopped giving back—whether it’s flying my drone to support city staff, sculpting balloons for our police department, or helping organize Christmas for Kids.

I am about making sure Barre has a voice that listens, leads, and gets things done. I fight for what matters most to our city—and I’d be honored to have your support.
